My book “Life in the universe” was recently published in English by Delhi-based Shabd Books, which also publishes notable authors such as Jostein Gaarder and Philip Pullman. This clip from the Indian business network CNN IBN shows Jostein (enthusiastic as always) and Mahesh Dutt, who is my publisher. I actually prefer having my publisher appearing on a business channel, rather than your average book show. As a professional writer who gets by without any government grants (a rarity in Norway, it has to be said), sales matter to me. Even more so in a market where the listed price of my book is 25 times lower than the Norwegian price. 🙂

Hi Eirik,
I am thrilled to see you bloggingin English finally. I am forwarding this link to all the schools that you visited to facilitate your interaction with the pupils you interacted with. I am glad you liked your experience and of course I am priviledged to have met an honest, down to earth person who also happens to be an Author, my Author. I am very proud.
My god bless these qualities to more of our contemporaries.
Honestly, I have no experience of schools in Norway but I have been amused at times as what you saw here is really normal private schools and I am sure, there are still better ones, which left for your explorations during your next visit. I am sure, you will be soon with us again.

Mahesh, I am sure I will be back. At the moment, I’m a bit of an India bore, telling everybody about my experiences. Why, just half an hour ago I was in a meeting where – surprise – I talked about my school visits.

Thanks Eirik,
I just heard from the principle of Ahlcon Internation School and he informed me that your write up is getting published in next edition of the magzine. I am sure, it will have good response.
Renu has started work on her Hindi translation of “Jagd der Wahrheit” and we hope to publish it in later half of this year, around September- October 08.
29th March I am leaving for Bologna Book Fair and will be in London for book fair in April and I do plan to come to Norway for couple of days in April after the London Book Fair. Book Fair takes place from 13th to 16th April and on 17th I have to be in Dublin for a lunch and plan to come to Oslo on 19th April.
Hope to see you soon.
