Filmatiseringen av Philip K. Dicks A Scanner Darkly vil forhåpentligvis treffe norske kinolerret i ikke altfor fjern framtid (selv om Oslokinos liste over kommende filmer er til liten oppmuntring), og i mellomtiden kan man informere seg med en god Guardian-artikkel om hallusinasjonene og rusbruken til forfatteren som ga oss råmaterialet til filmer som Blade Runner, Minority Report og Total Recall:
